Director Jenny Miller and conductor Jeremy Silver join forces again after their noteable successes of Rinaldo, Xerxes and Alcina for Longborough Festival Opera.
The day includes an introduction to method: language, grammar and relevance to acting, two music and language sessions, and two staging sessions. This approach to recitative will be a refreshing way to create your own natural rhythm and personal experience of the art form.
Due to the popular nature of this rare workshop, we are inviting observers to be part of the day where they will be able to mingle with the course leaders and singers and ask questions during the refreshment breaks. Suitable for professional and training singers preparing these roles, trainee repetiteurs and conductors or those of you who are just fascinated to see the process of this style of recitative work being done from the beginning to the final staged product
